Hello December

This is the photo I shared with you last week......it's growing!

Debra stopped by my house this week-end and brought 2 additional blocks she has been working on.  She was finishing a border around the stocking that will be similar to the stitching on the Merry Christmas block.  What she has added to her blocks is not part of the original pattern, I believe by the Quilted Pineapple......somebody correct me if I'm mistaken on that point.  We have 2 people in our group who are masters at embellishments.  She and Kerry Green.  Debra, is an artist as you can tell from her work.

This week end was lovely.....my brother, wife and friend stopped by and spent the night on their travels home to Minnesota.  Bruce and I had some great down time together, and I had time to stitch.  A most agreeable situation!

"November comes and November goes.
With the last red berries and the first white snows.

With night coming early, and dawn coming late,
And ice on the bucket and frost by the gate.

The fire burns and the kettle sings,
And earth sinks to rest until next spring".

And so we welcome December.....slow down and enjoy the moments!
