Pot of Posies

Good Morning!  Can't believe it is Friday once again.  The pattern has now been completed for Pot of Posies.  This is a quilt which I made a while a go.  This quilt has traveled extensively, having been to France and else where here at home.  This week it will travel to our quilt retreat, where my friend Leslie will be teaching a class with this pattern.  The posies are little Dresden plates.  Below is a small close up of the corner.

I continue to love the thirties fabrics and enjoy working with them.  This quilt has many of the feed sacks which I've collected over the years.....such happy fabric.

Last evening we were treated out to dinner by my daughter and her husband.  The meal lasted a little over 2 hours......relaxed, delicious, an event to be remembered!  For you local readers, the restaurant was called the Copper Onion.  We all ordered something different, so we had fun tasting each others entre'.  Meat loaf is not something you'd think would not be on the menu of such an upscale restaurant.  However, when I tasted the first bite..........what can I say it was sensational!  My taste buds were begging for more.....and more!  Then I tasted the beef stroganoff.......like nothing I've ever had before, and here I thought I made a pretty good beef stroganoff.  The base of this dish was a bed of wide wonderful homemade noodles....just amazing!  The appetizers, the side dishes, and the deserts,.....well there isn't words nor time to describe them!  Back to simple fare today.....I think our dining experience was like Downton Abby.

I plan on being back on February 10 with many good things to share with you.
