I've decided the quail are kind of little watch dogs.....nervous ones at that, for they are often sending out the alarm about something. This morning they were my alarm clock. In checking out the window, they were letting a large Mag Pie know that their feeding ground was off limits to the likes of him!!
This will be the conclusion of the show and tell from our quilt group. Melissa Clark brought this leaf quilt to share with us and we are so happy she did. Check out the amazing hand quilting on the photo below.....Wow!
Leslie also has this Irish chain in the works...and of course she will hand quilt it and then wash and dry it and it will look just wonderfully old and vintage.
Here is a bag Leslie made adorned with her sons pants pocket......so cute and clever.
Ann Lewis has been making these scrappy quilts....."Make them and they will come", grand kids that is. That is the philosophy she's sticking too.
She also shared her Story Teller quilt with us, it is a Timeless Traditions design. Ann is like me and that we each love the simple little nine patch.
Melissa Clark shared this striking beauty...wonderful color!
And she brought this treasure....a design by American Jane. The quilt back is just perfect.
Ann brought this whirly gig quilt...it is created in rows making it very easy to put together, even though it has a complicated look. I love the little finishing border.
This should give everyone many ideas to ponder. After one of these quilt group gatherings, my mind is always on overload....so much creativity.
It is overcast and rainy today......a good day for sewing! Kits for How Does Your Garden Grow?.....are available on my web site. www.timelesstraditionsquilts.com
Be happy - Do the best you can - Be good and kind. -something I saw on a poster, and I likes it's simple message. Enjoy your day. :-))
