A visit to a quilters home.....

My nephew in Arizona lives next door to a sweet lady who is a quilter.  Her name is Judy, and she made us the very best lemonade from hand squeezed lemons growing in the neighborhood.  She also took me and my sister to her friends house who is also a quilter.  Her name is Charlene O'Connell.  The first thing I saw when entering Charlene's home was a design which I made a couple of years ago.......what a surprise that was!

Just inside her door was this wall hanging called Top of the Morning.

I fell in love with this simple little quilt.....I have always loved stars.

She is a collector of lovely quilts......that is what happens when you are a quilter.

In her quilting studio where she has her long arm quilting machine, there was a quilt with a selvage border.

How about this beauty!  A Kim Deihl design.  This is so vibrant and beautiful, and really pops with the background fabric she has chosen.

Her sweet and adorable puppy went everywhere we went and had kisses to share.

The next divider in the journal......it will be finding it's way to someone's mailbox soon.

Today, I experienced the joy of catching up with some of my sewing projects.  The applique blocks I've been working on are increasing in number.....now I'm considering how I might put them together.  I also finished binding my rabbit table topper and hope to deliver it to the graphic designer tomorrow. The table runner pattern is complete and is being proof read.  It was a full and productive day.
