....and summer evenings!
We live less than 10 minutes from this picnic site. We packed up a simple dinner and headed up the canyon for the evening.
Nature has a way of easing the cares and stresses of the day, and nourishing the soul.
Bruce and I love to go up with a sandwich sit by the stream with a good book and absorb the serenity.
There is a path connecting many picnic sites.
Chad, Abbie and Grandpa joined us.
There is nothing quite so fine as roasted dogs over the fire.
Sweet Abbie enjoying some quiet time.
I have a few more of Sandy's quilts to share with you. Many of you asked about the applique quilt on the black background. The pattern was called 'Baskets, Berries and Leaves by Alma Allen and Jan Patek. It was a BOM from 1998. Sandy says she has the packet of patterns for sale for 30.00 if anyone is interested. Contact her a sandi@bearhollowbooks.com
The border design on the quilt was her own creation.
Sandy was challenged to make a quilt out of her comfort zone, and so she did......and it is fabulous!
One more bright and beautiful quilt.
This will be the last one for today.....there are many more to look forward to.
