Good Morning to all of my friends from near and far.....and to quilters every where! :-)
Today I am going to start sharing with you the first civil war blocks which my friend Brenda Youngson has been working on. I believe she has the bug for civil war fabrics.
Barbara Brackman's Civil Was Sampler book.
All of the blocks appear to be quite easy. It just makes we want to dig around in my fabric and make these blocks.
I have a collection of civil war fabrics and would not even need to purchase a single piece.
It would be just a matter of avoiding temptation!
That would mean staying out of quilt stores and beautiful fabric.
I wonder if that is possible.
Well, maybe for a few days.
There are actually some of these fabrics that aren't in my stash....at least I think so.
The navy fabric with the large circular flowers.....I don't believe I have that one, and that is just a shame!
Perhaps, I will just be on the look out for that one piece. That's reasonable, don't you think?
I am certain you will all be sympathetic to my plight...:-)
Oh Dear! I see another fabric I just should have to round off my collection....I'll just stick to those two pieces, and just maybe a small piece. :-)!!!!!
Dreams
"Within your heart keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go, and sheltered so, may thrive and grow - where doubt and fear are not. Oh, keep a place within your heart, for little dreams to go."
-Louise Driscoll
Enjoyed your Monday musings ... good luck on keeping your eye out for only 2 new fabrics and sticking to only them! haha! I know me and it wouldn't work for only the first step into the quilt store!
