We met at Elaine's Quilt Block and it was such a warm gathering of friends on a very cold night. We not only enjoy the friendship we share, but the inspiration we gain from each other.
This Farmer's Wife quilt which was designed by Lori Holt was hanging at the quilt shop, and I love how wonderfully vintage it looks. I do not think the quilting does the quilt justice, but it is still lovely.
A few more close up looks.
Valerie, who is one of our quilt group friends is presently working on this quilt and shared her blocks with us.
Her colors are so soft.....it will be a sweet vintage quilt.
This week has flown by....I've been occupied cutting kits all week. I'm hoping to find stitching time over the weekend. It will be a long week end for Bruce because of Martin Luther Kings birthday.
Next week will be a short blogging week for me, because I leave for California on Wednesday morning to teach at Grand Country Quilters, one of my favorite places to visit. I also hope to attend Road To California for the first time, and am also looking forward to find out what that is all about.
Have a great weekend everyone.

If you do make it to Road to California I hope you'll share with us what it is like. I have often thought that it might be one that I would like to visit too. Have a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteI agree... too heavy with the quilting and it distracts from the cute quilt blocks... some hand quilting would have complimented the designs nicely! :-) I'm hoping to finish a current project and begin on the Heart Table Mat this weekend! :-)
