I had such a great weekend. I completed many things on my to do list....YEA! I've been going through my home and cleaning out and cleaning up! :-) It has been kind of neglected. I was at the point where I needed to get busy or hire someone. When I'm inspired and in the mood, I truly love cleaning. That mood has hit me in a major way and the dust is flying!!! And the bags for M. S. are accumulating. I'm happy, happy, happy.
Another event brought joy into my day. I got a beautiful hunk of fabric through the mail from my friend, Julie. The card said just because. Se sweet and certainly brought a big smile to my face. Also, a box of fabric arrived from Moda, which I will share with you over the next couple of days. I have big plans for some of it. Oh my, the creative juices are flowing and I'm just antsy to make something out of it.
I want to share this nifty treasure I found while thrifting. This old jar with the wonderful pouring type spout which is screwed onto the top. It will hold my ground walnut shell for ease in filling pin cushions.
This is the first line of fabric which I will share with you. Fern Hill by Moda and designed by Jan Patek. Love it!
The next is also by Moda called Oak Haven and is designed by
Kansas Troubles. So many I would choose!
Jo Morton who is now designing for Moda, has this line called Gratitude....and there are many here that I also love. Its called a love affair with fabric. We've all been smitten!!! More tomorrow.
"You are not here merely to make a living, you are here is order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." -Woodrow Wilson
I love your jar and what a great idea to use it for walnut shells - just perfect! I'm really excited about Jo Morton designing for Moda now, and I too, am a huge fan of both Jan Patek and Kansas Troubles. All of the fabrics are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your house looks so sparkly and clean! Can you come over and help me with my spring cleaning? :)))))
