To escape the heat, Bruce and I took a picnic and enjoyed an evening up one of the canyons by a mountain stream.
We took our lawn chairs and our books and enjoyed reading with the stream rushing by. It fed our souls and we returned home feeling refreshed!
More photos from The Country Sampler. There were many accessory items which were unique and tempting.
The store is filled with kits. There are kits on the bed for this wonderful utility quilt.
A charming quilt block framed.
Fabric and all sorts of loveliness every where I looked.
Beautiful fabric, stitcheries, books and notions, and other goodies.
I copied a phrase from the book I'm reading today. "Decide not to let life happen to you. Go out and make life happen. Strive to live life fully."
I have missed the second Wednesday drawing by being out and about. The drawing results for June are as follows.

ReplyDeleteA canyon picnic sounds like a great idea for escaping the heat--and we have plenty to choose from around here! Which one did you visit?
ReplyDeleteI hope to one day venture out to visit Country Sampler... during a stitching retreat would be even better! Thanks for sharing pics!
