...and quilt shop adventures.
On out trip back to Chicago where we were going to catch our flight home, we visited this charming quilt shop called the Quilter's General Store.
It was located in this lovely old farm house.
The store was store was warm, friendly and full of inspiration.
We were greeted with this patriotic setting.
Many more quilts for you to drool over today.
Simple wool applique surrounded by stars.
Even a quilt for their store name.
I love most anything with stars.
Beautiful fabric and cozy decorating.
One of Carol Hopkins wonderful designs, called Beauregard's Best.
This morning I made an early visit to the grocery store......nothing out of the ordinary....right? However, I was helped by a clerk in the bakery dept. who was nothing ordinary. I was greeted by her warm smile, she was helpful and kind, and she set a positive tone for my entire day. I had set out to buy a muffin for breakfast. I was feeling a bit distraught by the latest despairing news, and I was so thankful for this sweet lady who helped me. It brought to mind this quote by President Ronald Reagan, " We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone." Unknowingly this lady helped set the course for my day. I'm certain we have all benefited by someone like this. Keep a happy heart!
Thank you for sharing your quilt shop adventures with us - I will probably never get to visit these places in person, so your virtual tours are appreciated. I also enjoy and appreciate your daily quotes - today's was especially inspiring. HUGS... and stitches
