Thank you.....

.....for all of your suggestions for the new quilt I am working on.  Keep checking, because if your name is chosen, I will need you to send me your address.

I have a few more photos from quilt group which gathered last night.

Leslie, has a new great grand baby to arrive on the scene before long.  Her grand daughter loves elephants, so the new little one will be snuggled up in this sweet baby quilt.

Brittany, shared this striking new modern quilt which she has completed.

She is finishing off the edge with this stitching on a wider than usual binding.  It really adds a great touch.

And this adorable Dachshund will be made into a pillow for her mother in law, who's Doxie, has gone on to dog heaven......for surely there is such a place, for all of our faithful and loyal pets who bring so much joy into our lives.

Brittany's mother made all of these Christmas ornament approximately 40 years ago.  The work is stunning!

Crewel embroidery.

I shared the progression I've made on this new quilt.  I've had three going on all at once.  I don't usually do this, but I am certainly having fun in the process.

I thought this quote was appropriate for today.  The author is unknown.  "You don't need a loud voice to be heard.  All you need is something worthwhile to say."

Wishing everyone an enjoyable week end.

  2. I love the wonky aqua quilt. So stunning. Do you know how big it is? (ie, dimensions?)

  3. Brittany's mother's crewel ornaments and stocking are timeless. They could have been made today. Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing them.

  4. Great show and tell! I have a baby grand-daughter due in April...the are decorating the nursery with elephants....I love the elephant quilt...and even though I already have one quilt for her in progress, may have to start another! The ornaments look like they could be from Bucilla kits...they were around way back when, and still are making kits for ornaments, stockings, etc.
