Several of us ladies spent a day together visiting quilt stores out of town, and a museum with an antique quilt show. We have been friends for many years. Over the years we have taken several trips together. One time after returning home from such a trip, I told my husband after we returned, "I feel so grateful to travel with women who help me the best I can be." What a treasure!
We started out by having breakfast once again at Les Madeline. We felt quite special to treat ourselves in this way. The foods and pastries are extraordinary. After getting off to such a marvelous start, we hit the road. First stop was Quilts in the Attic in Bountiful.
This is really a very lovely quilt store. We found temptation awaiting the moment we walked through the door......so much we wish t create, and insufficient time to do so. This is a Rebekah Smith design.
This stitching stool is another of her designs.
However, these adorable little bunny butts, were just the best!
The beauty of this wool pillow completely charmed me.
Some fresh and simple baby quilts....
.....and a big and beautiful quilt, with 1 kits left at 30% off.
If interested give them a call.
The store itself, is arranged and decorated with charm and eye appeal. Bolts and bolts of gorgeous fabric. I did not take the time to share my purchases. More tomorrow. :-)
Ralph Waldo Emerson expresses a majestic thought when he said, "It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; But the great man is he in the midst of the crowd keeps with the perfect sweetness the independence of solitude."
