After visiting 2 fabulous shops for needle work on this recent adventure, I am inspired to try some stitching. I decided to start with a pattern from a retreat I attended in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Located in Spring Green is the fabulous Country Sampler. I love everything about this shop. They hold some stitch camps as well as quilt retreats.
I decided it would be best to start small.
We first went to pick up a quilting friend, Karolee Morris, and our first stop was Attic Needlework in Mesa, Arizona. This is a fabulous shop that is known for their samplers.
This shop did not disappoint. In fact on our way home through Arizona to drop Karolee off, we visited the shop again.
Then our next stop was at Olde World Quilt Shoppe.
This is the Quail pillow which Monique of the shop gave to me. All of these bird designs are wonderful.
Here are the Diamond Textiles, which are all on her web site for purchase. She has even put more of them on since we were there.
Someone asked about my design wall. I purchased it years ago from someone local. I do not believe he ships. The design wall. rolls down like a roller shade, and hides behind the shelf when it is not in use.

Looks like such a fun trip! Those design walls can be purchased from Martha Settles in Mt. Pleasant, IA. Her website is www.settleinnquilt.com.
