New Winter Quilt

Here is what I've been working on...It is unfinished but designed.  You probably can see the pins holding items to the background, and it is a little crooked because it is hanging on my design wall, but that will soon all be rectified.  Today I will be leaving with some friends and going to a cabin in the mountains.  I will not be home until Saturday and will not be blogging while I'm gone, as I will be out of range to get a signal. This little quilt will have a log cabin border, which is all cut out and ready to go!  My goal is to stitch, stitch, stitch........I'll be having time with needle and thread, and with good friends........ it doesn't get much better than that. Autumn has displayed it self in our higher elevations, so I'm excited to see the glorious colors as well.

"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see".   John Burroughs...........and all the quilts we want to make!  My conclusion to the quote.

  4. Beautiful work in progress. I love it! Your are such a talented lady and I'm so glad you share. I received your Autumn pillow in the mail yesterday--Thank you! I have it prominently displayed in my living room and enjoy it very much. You're a sweetheart. I hope you have a wonderful retreat at the cabin. I just returned from our annual girlfriend quilt retreat in the mountains a week ago. It was wonderful. Nothing better than fabric, needle, thread, good food, and great friends. Enjoy!
