Quilting Friends Gather

We had a wonderful quilting and sharing day with lunch at Gail Berry's beautiful home.  A day of inspiration, laughter, wonderful sharing and a yummy eats was shared by all.  Gail has us gather for an Autumn celebration every September and I've been checking the days off on my calendar.......here is Gail sharing her basket quilt.  We loved it.

Carol and Connie joined us, and that was special because they had not joined us before  Here Carol shows her colorful scrappy quilt.......LOVE it.

Leslie shared this warm and cozy looking scrap quilt.......this group appreciates this look.

Spools, bow ties.......you choose.  We decided it could be called either, we just knew that we loved it.

Yvonne shared this beauty...A Kim Diehl  design....with incredible workmanship and quilting.

Sherry just completed the top to this delightful vintage looking quilt.  Tiny baskets settle in amongst the little hour glass blocks, and every once in a while you will spy a wee pinwheel block.

Many other works in progress were shared, I gave my friends a sneak peek at my winter quilt in progress.  I will try and share it with you tomorrow.

  1. WOW...that Kim Diehl quilt is amazing! I have the pattern, but get a bit overwhelmed at just the thought of tackling it. I'm not usually a lover of scrap quilts, but I must say these are lovely! Must be because they are done in my favorite dark colors. Soooo many beautiful patterns, so little time. Can't wait to retire...but I still have at least 4 more years.

  2. Beautiful quilts your friends all shared. You said that Genevieve had the Kim Diehl quilt, but I would swear that is Yvonne Carter in your photo - must be her mystery twin! LOL Thanks for the pictures!
