Girls must party!

Last evening our quilt group which meets at Elaine's Quilt Block had our annual Christmas pot luck.  We shared lots of yummy food together, as well as conversation and laughter........an absolute lovely evening.  We always have show and tell, because this a group of women who love to quilt and are very talented. "It began all with one snowflake", was shared by Linda.  It came from a kit she purchased and couldn't remember who the designer was.  She has been working on it while she tends a little grand daughter who has already claimed it.  Linda told us she wanted to drag it around with her.......and the binding isn't even on it yet.  It obviously makes her happy.

This adorable little quilt was shared by Valerie, and yes, those are my boots in the picture.....this is a Jan Patek design.......we all wanted to take it home with us.  Her choice of colors make it really striking.

I'm sneaking in the photo of "Trees around the World" which I was unable to find the other day on my blog.  Once again credit must go to my husband for holding it so straight.  It is a good thing he works out, because sometimes he holds for quite some time before I manage to get it right.  On occasion he's been know to utter pleas of "are you done yet?"

Here is another quilt by Valerie.....and once again my boots.  This might help you understand what a patient man my husband is, as I usually don't get it right with the first shot.  This simple but cute little quilt is by Sheri Payne.  Tune in tomorrow for the remainder of the show and tell.

"I think as you grow older your Christmas list gets smaller and the things you really want for the holidays can't be bought".         -Whisper.  I found this on Pinterest yesterday.

  2. Hi Norma
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who routinely photographs my feet! I really enjoy your blog - even though I don't comment very often (too many irons in the fire!)

  3. I was sad to miss Girl Gang this week, but we had a bout of stomach flu at our house. I'm glad to hear it was a lovely gathering though. Merry Christmas!
