Tis The Season

The 3 little snowmen in the bowl on my table say...Tis the Season......and my oh my it really is.  We have 12 inches of beautiful white fluffy snow on the top of our fence.  It is beautiful because it has been untouched by the elements.  It stands as a flawless white wall of snow, and I love looking at it.......from inside my warm cozy house!

I forgot to photograph this quilt in it's entirety, but it really is one of my favorites.  It is a Red Wagon design from way back when.  I believe it is called "Trees around the World".  I love the bold blocks of color with the various trees appliqued around the border.  This design is perfect for keeping out all winter long.

This photo does not do this table runner justice.  Gaylyn  made this table runner, and she said the pattern was in the "Primitive Quilts and Projects" magazine.  It is pine cones and evergreen on a black wool background.  Then she has stripped a variety of red fabrics together for the little border on each side.  It is really striking and will look beautiful on her long harvest table.  This picture was taken when we were up at her cabin in Sept.  We are planning a winter get away there to start work on a quilt for the auction  that is held to benefit Primary Children's Hospital.
