What a little sunlight will do.....

More of the same as far as the background in concerned....however, the garden continues to grow.  A garden would not be complete without a pear tree, which represents long life......and I really do love a good pear......the trick is to get it at just the right stage of ripeness.  The thing about pears is that they ripen from the inside out.  Just a little fact I recently learned.

Never can have enough flowers in one's garden......and if we don't receive more snow here in Utah, we might just have to zero scape our gardens.  For those readers not it Utah, we've had below average snow fall the last couple of years, and as a result our reservoirs are close to being empty.  The population continues to grow and the water supply cannot keep up.

Another feathered friend....I require bird song in the garden....:-)

I'll share these 4 blocks today, with more coming tomorrow.

Our quilt group gathering was a special treat.....much inspiration in many ways.  I will share some of it with photos later.

  1. I love the pear block! But then I also love the your bird blocks and flower blocks - okay, I love them all and I am so excited to see the finished picture!

We haven't received any rain or snow since December either and it looks like there may be restrictions on watering this summer so we are in the process of meeting with a landscaper to find out about removing our grass. We have about 100 trees on our property and I would rather keep the drip going to them than the grass. Sigh. I keep hoping we get some moisture soon!!!

    1. Thank you Tina.....I'm excited for you to see the finished quilt, as it has absolutely been soul food for me to make.....I'm not certain how to explain it, but it has been an inspired creation for me.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that you're lacking in moisture also. I'm hoping for some late big snows in the mountains which sometimes happens.
