An artist who is also a quilter.....

This is a quilt that was in the show at the International Quilt Market in Pittsburgh.

How does one do this?  I am simply amazed at how she has captured the likeness of President Abraham Lincoln......every little detail is incredible.  In my hurried passing I didn't catch the name of the artist.  I meant to find time to go back and retrieve that important information, but did not get it accomplished.  I refer to a she as the creator, but I'm not certain about that fact.......I wanted to share it anyway, so that you might be amazed also.

I also got a quick shot of this incredible Baltimore Album Quilt....also an amazing masterpiece.  I couldn't get up close as they were all roped off and were closely monitored.

Today I hope to spend time in my sewing room.  I've been working on a new quilt, plus I need to get handwork together to take on my little upcoming trip with quilting friends.

"Some believe it is only Great Power that can hold evil in check.  But that is not what I have found.  I have found that it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay.  Small acts of kindness and love".     -Gandolf...(Lord of the Rings)
