Tidings of Joy

Wyatt Benjamin Whaley, being held by his proud and of so happy daddy....  And I am beside myself wanting to get my arms around this new little one....my first grand baby.  I'll be able to do that in a few days, but until then I'll just have the longing!  He weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long.  His dad was 9 lbs. 4 oz. when he was born!

And here are a couple of my grand dogs....Oliver and Annie.  With no grandbabies we have consoled ourselves with the grand dogs.  We'll still love them, but we are happy to have the real thing!

These are a few photos from the last time our quilt group met at Elaine's Quilt Block.  I decided I'd better get them posted before we meet again tonight.  Another one of Leslie's strip quilts......and she made 2 darling bags.  What a great way to use up scraps.

Brittany in our quilt group, has made these quilts for hew sweet daughters, Olive and Abby.  I'm certain they are so pleased to have their names on their quilts.

Kerry Green from Kerry Stitch Designs shared with us this new quilt she is working on.  It is so vibrant and just popping with color......Maybe she will have it completed by tonight and I will be able to share it with you.

Now for todays give away......Once again there are so many names entered into the drawing that there will be three winners chosen.  They are-
Joan Bergeron
Krissy Higgs
Kathy Smith
Please send me your choice of a free pattern and your name and address, and they will be in the mail. :-)

  9. Congrats on your 1st Grandbaby...so special. I can hardly wait to see the finished hexie quilt!!! I have been working on making a bunch of hexies for a long time and am getting close to having enough. I just love the setting of them all together without spacers....kind of what I had in mind. But her border is just great!!!!!!!
