....,and I'm lovin it. I have much to do and am in the mood for it all....I feel energized, it must have come from those wonderful quilters in Page. My friend Leslie accompanied me and we had a marvelous time. First of all, when we set off from Salt Lake, I simply put in my navigation system....Page, Arizona. You see, this is important, because when Leslie and I get to visiting, we tend to ignore mile markers, road signs and the like. We were in for a treat.....the route chosen for us took us through Zion National Park. It made the trip a bit longer, but what an unexpected treat. We experienced all kinds of goodness over our short time, and I will share with you over the next few days.
Had to stop and take a picture of this charming old house......if only these walls could talk, they'd have quite a story to tell.
What a charming welcome home this entrance presences.
The road to Page......have you ever seen such blue skies?
Just outside of Zion....it was at this point that we finally realized what route we were on, and were thinking....what a good thing it was.
The splendor of Zion's National Park.
When I went to take this photo, I couldn't believe the old car crossing the bridge.....touring in style.
I have 2 fat quarters of Diamond Textiles to give a way today to the first person to contact me at www.norma@ timelesstraditionsquilts.com

ReplyDeleteYour road trip pictures of Zion Nat'l Park are stunning! I also traveled through Zion Nat'l Park but it was in 1986. My husband had just returned from a solo trip to Korea and we were traveling from Denver to California to catch a flight to Hawaii, our next USAF duty assignment! While he did his year in Korea, I stayed in Denver with our 4- and 5-year-old. What a long year that was!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I see that Zion National Park is as beautiful as ever. Thank you for the trip down Memory Lane and how appropriate to take that trip on the day before Veteran's Day! Great timing!!!
One of my favorite National Parks! So glad that you had the opportunity to see it and in an unexpected way :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Patti
