Yesterday, I tried for over an hour to get BlogSpot to post my entry and it refused to cooperate. So, I'll try once again today.
I trust everyone is ready for the Christmas festivities. I am, because we are keeping it very simple this year. We decided as a family, that the most valuable gift we can give each other is our time. We started things off on Sunday eve. by going to Abbie's for a pizza party. She had maid bunches of dough for the crusts, and it was amazing. For me, pizza is as good as the crust. She had a variety of fixings for the top, the usual and some gourmet.......caramelized onions and goat cheese being tow of them......and they are amazing together. I let Bruce create our deluxe and enjoyed the company of my sweet little grand dogs for a bit. After feasting on pizza, we finished things off with homemade chocolate chip cookies, and tried out a new game. A treasure gift to be tucked away in my memory bank.
Speaking of gifts, we received a lovely surprise in the mail from our friends in Ohio.
I plan on sharing some of these cookies with our neighbors grand daughter hoe is just old enough to be quite exuberate about Santa Claus and all of the magic for children at this time of year.
While straitening out my sewing room......so I can find my way through it...I discovered I had 2 of this Quilt Mania magazine. I usually have 2 when I have patterns in them, as I receive a complimentary issue. This one has At Home in the Garden and my Shaker Wisdom pillow. I will send this issue to the first person who emails me.

What beautiful cookies. Happy holidays to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you mean about the gift of time and making memories. Our family gathered to make gingerbread houses on Saturday and it was so fun - the grown kids enjoyed it as much as the little ones!
