Exciting Times.......

Riley Blake shared a big bunch of fabric with me!  They continue to enlarge their Penny Rose collection.  I'll begin showing it to you today.  This line is called 'Civil War Times Miniatures.'

The top fabrics are called Miniature Wallpaper, and I used the teal color in my wedding ring blocks.  The other two colors are red, and brown, but to me the brown is sort of a gray.
The bottom fabrics are the Miniature Stars which come in blue, red and brown. The red is not a true red, but I really like it......and the brown is more camel colored.

The top selection is called Miniature Floral and comes in purple, blue and brown.
The other fabrics are called Miniature Ribbons and comes in red, blue and brown.
Aren't they beautiful fabrics?  Receiving them is called "Exciting Times!"

Here are my blocks , titled and put together.  You can see how great the teal looks in the wedding ring blocks.

The top selection is called Miniature Swirls and comes in green, red and brown.  The bottom two fabrics are called Miniature Seeds, which comes in red, teal, and brown.  To me the teal color reads more gray, and I used it on the roofs of the houses.  I like how some of the fabrics are not typical in color......it makes them interesting.

I have been enjoying working on this project....I now am starting to embroidery the verse which will be part of the border.

"People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.  If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.  If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.  If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.  The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.  Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway."
