Happy Monday.....

I hope everyone has had a lovely week end.  Abbie had a birthday on July 11th, which we celebrated by going out for dinner in a new and different restaurant which was most enjoyable.  It didn't work out for Grandpa to join us, so we had another celebration today.  I forgot to get pictures......too busy enjoying the family and the celebration.  We had brunch out on the patio, and I tried out a fantastic new recipe for blueberry coffee cake.

I found a bit of time to sew, but not very much......I'll show you the growth in my new project.

I have one more row of blocks to add to the right side, then I will start working on the border.  I have a verse in mind which will be stitched on the border.  "Life is a patchwork, stitch a little bit of loving care.  Sew together with some kindness, let the sunshine everywhere.  Choose a pattern for your life's work, add some fun along the way.  Life is like a valued patchwork, keep it precious day by day."  -unknown

About the drawing for August......I will be a way visiting in Ohio, so the drawing will be on the third Wed. in August instead of the second Wed.

"Maybe it's not always about trying to fix something broken.  Maybe it's about starting over and creating something better."
