....what's not to love about these long summer days? However, when I look at the calendar, this is the last week of July. When I turn the calendar to August, I begin thinking of Fall. I just can't help myself. I'm trying to savor the present moment.....but as August approaches and kids start back to school, and then factoring in how fast time seems to fly by.....Autumn in approaching and that is my favorite time of year. Today, I suddenly got the bug about designing something for Fall. But, then my better sense kicked in and I decided to finish what I'm in the middle of. And on that note.....
...I've made some progress over the week end. Now I'm pondering what comes next for the border. I have an idea I will try to find time to work on tomorrow.
Karen , one of the owners of Grand Country Quilters, has been teaching a couple of classes on The Navajo Code Talker. She sent this wonderful picture of the quilt done in pastels, and I thing it is very sweet and lovely. Thank you Karen for sharing this with us. While I am in California for the San Diego Quilt show where I will be teaching, I will be extending my visit and will be teaching two days at their shop in San Marcos.....it will be here soon, and I'm excited.
This is another new line by Riley Blake called Mourning gray and purple. I only have the gray to show you, and I absolutely love them all. They will be awesome blenders in the type of designs I enjoy.
