When friends gather......

...our hearts sing and our souls are fed........with needle and thread......and laughter and heartwarming conversation and sharing.  A small group of quilting friends who meet at each others homes once a month, met tonight at my home.  We are working on a quilt for the auction that is coming up this November.  The proceeds goes to research at Primary Medical Center.  We decided to do a winter quilt since the auction will be just before Christmas.

We decided to make the Winter Wonderland pattern......so I donated one of my kits and tonight everybody brought their section finished and now Gaylyn is going to put it together......Leslie will baste it.......and then we will all take a turn at hand quilting. Everything at this auction is hand quilted.
All of the background fabrics used in this quilt are by Diamond Textiles.

Remember when I showed you the yellow and white kit we received while attending the retreat in Midway, Utah last March......well, Gaylyn has been busy and has her quilt done.  Isn't it absolutely stunning?

And, the back fabric is just perfect.

The pattern for the Peace Pillow is now available on my web site.....the amazing green wool is made by Marcus.

The Garden Angel pattern is also available on my web site.  The border on this little quilt is by Diamond Textile, and I thing it really is a marvelous choice.....it is in their primitive stars line.  I also love the skirt of the angel which is also a wonderful fabric by Diamond Textile.  I loved these fabrics so much that I purchased bolts, so will be making kits soon......maybe I will get started yet this week.  My graphic designer who I depend on for creating my beautiful patterns, is out of town for a week, so the kits will not be on my web site until she gets home.

This table topper is finished, but the pattern is not yet available.
