A shared friendship.....

...with quilting in common. There are six of us who meet together every month, and this month we met at Leslie's warm and inviting home.

There were wonderful little quilted treasures throughout Leslie's home.

Notice the adorable rusty bird attached to the side of her kitchen window.....also the carved wood bird hanging.  These were both purchased at the Country and Living Fair.......perfectly lovey little treasures that neither one of us could pass up.

Over the stove there was this row of houses framed. And let me tell you about the soups in the pots on the stove.  One was a butternut squash soup which was served with toasted cinnamon croutons, and the other was a creamy cheese vegetable soup.  Both were delicious.  We also had home made rolls, a beautiful salad and a pumpkin cobbler.....a new recipe off Pinterest.  It was all over the top delicious.  Lucky us!

I loved this quilt hanging over the back of her couch......

And this lovely quilt hanging on the quilt rack.

All of these works by Leslie's hands add so much warmth and coziness to her home.

Two projects which she has made from wool.  I also made the bottom sheep design, however mine is made into a pillow.

This picture is a Primitive Gatherings design with some changes.  Leslie has added one of our favorite quotes on the picture.  "Faith is the bird that sings when the dawn is still dark."

This Court House Steps quilt has always been one of my favorite, and is on my bucket list to make.

A close up look to see how it is made.

This wool pumpkin table mat looks just right for the season.

Here is their family tree.  It is a design of Cherie Paine.

And, this is what I've been working on the last few days....and now they are complete......just waiting for the pattern to be completed.  I went to purchase big bags to hold these kits, as there is a big pile of fabric! :-)

  1. Can I just plop down and roll in that wonderful pile of fabric? Now I know why my dog does that...you just can't help it! Thanks for the eye candy this morning! I just love visiting a quilter's home...and Leslie's is right up there! Such lovely things! Her quilts and wool work are wonderful! It's THAT log cabin quilt that caught my eye! Magnificent! Thanks for taking a close-up so that we could see the fabrics better! So many beautiful quilts to make...so little time! I know...it's the Quilters' lament! Thanks for sharing and thank YOU, Leslie for letting us peek into your home!
