Grand Country Quilters

What a pretty sign of welcome.....

...and beautiful window boxes with succulents.

I just never tire of Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilts.  As you can see this is an antique one.

I took a picture of this quilt rack, because it could so easily be made.  I need to have my son look at it.  He builds beautiful things from wood in his shop in Ohio, and this would be a breeze for him.

This nine patch...applique combination was absolutely charming and looked like it would be a fun project to work on.

Grand Country Quilters is doing my design, At Home In The Garden as a block of the month.  Their combination for the quilt is lovely and they have several people working on it and continue to send out kits.

They had some beautiful wool projects on display.

I thought this quilt made from squares and half square triangles was very clever.

The even more clever thing about it is that it was made into a big quilt tote.  A gal in one of my classes had made it.

I forgot to share this gorgeous Quilt of Valor with you from the quilt show.....this quilt is simply made from squares and half square triangles.  The narrow sashing separating the blocks is very appealing to the eye.  I also love the combination of colors.
Another week has flown right by.  We are enjoying the splendid fall weather.  October is such a wonderful month.  Enjoy your week end everyone.

  1. OMGosh!! It just isn't right...that so many wonderful shops are all in one area! I am so lucky to visit these shops once a year! I think the best thing about them all is that they change out their quilts seasonally! There is ALWAYS something different to see...and buy!! Your quilts are AMAZING and look wonderful on display! Man, I would LOVE to take one of your classes!

  2. As usual, another eyelicious post! That flower applique and nine patch you show was a Primitive Gatherings BOW from a few years ago. My top is completed and on the completed TOPS pile. :-)

  3. I am sure this is what Quilters heaven will look beautiful and fun. I would love to visit.
