Home Sweet Home.....

I had the most marvelous experience teaching at The Olde World Quilt Shoppe in Cave Creek, Arizona.  I had never visited the shop before......and was I in for a treat!

The shop was full of inspiration and I will share photos for the remainder of the week.  The minute I walked through the front door I felt like I belonged there amongst all of the beautiful fabric and the lovely samples.  The shop itself is beautiful as you will discover from the pictures.

If you see something that calls your name, give them a call.  The staff is warm and friendly and eager to help you.

The quilt has bee a favorite since I first saw it at the International Quilt show in Houston.

I loved these funky bottles holding a flower.

I loved the use of the polka dot fabric in this Kim Diehl design.

I had to browse slowly as to not miss anything.

The pattern for this striking design can be found in the last Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine.

This is Lynn, who works at the shop, and arranged for me to teach there on Friday and Saturday.  The project chosen was the Love One Another wool pillow.  Lynn made the wall hanging sample on the wall behind her.  It was beautiful done as a wall hanging.  One of the extra fringe benefits of teaching there was that I met several of the women who read my blog......they have become my friends.

I fell in love with all of these adorable Lori Smith designs.

The selection of patterns and kits will be certain to tempt you as their fabric selection is amazing.  I will have much more to share tomorrow.

These are the 2 choices for March Bits and Bobs project.  It is a 5 clear zipper pockets, and one other pocket fit inside this sturdy little bag.  There are 2 designs to choose from, or you may simply purchase the bag with the black wool to cover it.  That way you can use your own creativity for a design for the outside.

  1. That is a wonderful Quilt Shop. I was glad to hear that they weren't closing. The only problem is I live in Missouri and only get there every 2 years.
