Kind Words.....

I love and appreciate all of your kind comments. I wish I had more free time to respond to them, but that is not usually the case.  I want you to know that when I'm struggling and desperately trying to look for the sunshine peeking out from behind the clouds, your kindness brings the sun further out into the open.  Today, I received an email from a lady whom I've never met.  I read it this morning and it changed the entire outlook for my day.  Thank you!  We all depend on the kind words and thoughtful ways of each other on our life's journey.

While teaching at Grand Country Quilters in San Marcos, one of the ladies who was in the Home Is Best class had finished her top and brought it to share.  I can picture her pretty face and sweet smile, but I cannot recall her name.  I might even have had her write it down for me......and I must have lost that scrap of paper! :-(

Any way, I want to share her wonderful stitching with you.

There were many little extras which made her top exceptional.

I had a trunk show on display at the shop and these 2 ladies stopped by for a visit.  In the blue strip top is Veronica Dibble, and the other lady is Delane Turner.  One of these ladies had just completed the Gathering Baskets in the background.

Pam Watts, also dropped by and shared this quilt which she had made for her friend.

I fell in love with the Log Cabin quilt with strips that finished at one inch.  So now I've started a basket for one inch strips.....I use to throw these away......shame on me!

Now for the quotes for the day from Judy's quilt.
Joy is not in things, it is in us.

Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.

If it can be dreamt then it can be done.

  3. I hope that basket you started is for 1 1/2 inch strips unless you want yours to finish at 3/4 inches :)
