Second Wednesday Drawing......

Today is the day!  The three names selected this month are:
Karalee Morris
Tammy Spencer
Laren J. Deem
Please contact me with you address and pattern selection.

Remember the saga concerning my cell phone......how I accidently mailed it with some kits to Alaska.......well, the package arrived with a hole in the corner at either end of the package.  I guess when I was calling it trying to find it, it alarmed some postal worker somewhere along the line, and it was removed.  We've had a tracer on it, but have had no luck in recovering it.  Now, this story may seem a bit unbelievable, until I saw on Facebook today where a lady misplaced her glasses.  When she pulled the bread out of the over which she had just baked, she found her glasses in the bread......oh my, it's all stranger than fiction!

I just completed piecing the top for this new quilt today.  It will be named, Hidden Messages.

Through out the strip piecing part of the quilt are messages to live by.  This quilt is made from 1 1/2" and 2" strips.  It was a joy to make!

"One of the greatest moments in anybody's developing experience is when he no longer tries to hide from himself but determines to get acquainted with himself as he really is."

  5. What a wonderful quilt! Love the hidden messages! I had to laugh about the glasses in the bread. One time when I was a young mom and we were in the middle of corn harvest, I made a meal for the helpers. I baked the paring knife in the meatloaf! I have yet to live that down! I hope you find your cell phone! Have a great day! :)

  9. It's pretty sad that someone would have removed it from the shipped package...that is stealing after all. We should be able to have trust that what we ship will arrive as packaged. Shame on whoever stole it.
