....are the ones which make my heart sing. Especially the really scrappy ones. Women taking what they had in an effort to add color to their homes, and to have something to show for their efforts......and to keep their families warm!
I believe I commented yesterday that there are many quilts with a red and green color theme.
The applique is stunning, but the quilting is what really makes these quilts outstanding.
Each of these quilts have a story that needs to be told. I do not know if they had labels.
Cheddar, pink and red, aren't colors that we would think of putting together.

I liked the addition of the blue in this quilt, plus once again the hand quilting is incredible.
