The browsing through.....

.....antique shops continue.

I am always disheartened, when I see beautiful old quilts for sale in an antique store.  Isn't there family to value some one's efforts in creating something that is useful.  Why aren't they a treasured keepsake?

Isn't this an interesting and unique desk?  notice how the desk surface is adjustable, and then the pull out storage drawer.

This quilt no doubt provided warmth for some Kansas family.

Charming vintage linens and a cozy star quilt.

I could picture this quilt made from neck ties.

A beautiful quilt and other curiosities.

I found an Army wool blanket.....a happy fine which I split with Karen.  And a hat just needing to be modeled.

I loved the pram, but I especially loved this quilt pattern....

And this head and chair missing the legs stopped us in our tracks.
A real spectacle!  We were really at a loss.

Stars, I love them, especially the red and blue stripe one.

A memory quilt.  A woman wishing not to be forgotten, signs her name to cloth.

I could picture this gracing some one's table.

We wondered if the head parked on the chair had anything to do with this spectacle parked outside the store.

If you were seeking attention, no doubt you would certainly get it!

In the spirit of Autumn, I would like to give this pattern to the 6th person to email me tomorrow, at norma@timelesstraditionsquilts.com

  1. Delightful post, Norma!
That disembodied head is like the ones we used in beauty school. Can't help with the legless chair, though...
