Autumn.....

….has been lingering in the recesses of my mind. I have a new small design which I have so enjoyed creating.  I had it with me while teaching in California and it was well received.  Now the pattern is being written and I'm starting to cut kits, and it will soon be available.  Autumn, will be the first of the 4 seasons which I plan on making, per request of those who have seen this Autumn design.

A celebration of Autumn, and all of the things we love about it.  To me Autumn brings a desire to cozy up my house and prepare for the winter days ahead.  But on the other hand, it is difficult to resist cooler days and enjoying time out of doors.  This season has much that I love, colorful leaves, the little squirrel busily storing away treats in my back yard, and  I love watching him.  Arranging gourds and pumpkins by my front door, to welcome friends and family to home made soups and a totally different kind of cooking...….comfort foods.  This design will be offered as a Bits and Bobs design, and will be announced shortly on Face Book.

While I was in California, I stayed part of the time in Julie Kursave's lovely home.  Julie has been enjoying cross stitching projects.  This charming little basket is from a design created by Stacy Nash. I love it, and tried not to covet this treasure.  As you can see, she has many more patterns for stitching in the background, suggesting many more happy hours spent stitching.

This was attached by a ribbon to the basket.  A sweet place to store your needle.

Here are some more lovely little designs which she has stitched.

I believe many of these will be bowl fillers...….special little keepsakes.

  2. I love your Autumn design. Will it be offered as a pattern only? I love to use the fall colors I love and have. I got back into cross stitch also after watching Flosstube videos on YouTube. They're very addictive and since tv offers so little anymore, I'm glad I came across them. I love the bowl and I've been wanting to buy all the Word Play series. Pinkeeps in dough bowls, baskets, etc have become very popular. Yvonne the Night Owl stitcher shows her dough bowls on Flosstube and I love them. The splattered here and there among her videos. Very inspiring.

  5. Beautiful little quilt and the stitching is lovely, too. Will the little autumn quilt be on your website to purchase, too? (I'm not on Facebook)
