After a perfectly lovely week end I'm ready to get things accomplished once again. Remember how I said that we make the most out of birthdays in our family.......well we had another party on Friday evening at Chad and Abbie's home. Bruce has definitely gotten the much deserved birthday recognition.
We enjoyed getting to know Dawn and her husband. They are from Missouri, and I fell in love with her whimsical folk art designs.
Dawn does needle turn applique, as I do, and it is what she enjoys most.
This is the quilt which is on the cover of her book. It was her first book published by Quilt Mania.
I really fell hard for this quilt....perhaps it is those cute bunnies.
This quilt was also a favorite of mine.
The quilting is spectacular on this quilt!
I also love this simple but striking combination of red and green. There certainly is not a shortage of marvelous projects to work on........the problem is not enough hours in the day. Also, there are so many books to be read, and to many miles to cover and things to discover......and amazing people to meet. Life is good!

Dawn is a super-sweet person. She's shared her quilts at my guild and I've taken a class from her. Her quilts are certainly beautiful!
