Deirdre who has her home in Tasmania, was next door to me at the exposition. She works mainly with wool applique, and combines cotton and wool. She was the first person to introduce using a stapler to attach her wool to the background.
I especially loved the quilt on the table. Simple but stunning.

I met and took a class from Deidre a couple of years ago in Junction City, CO, with my sister. This was when she was half of the pair of Quilting Crows. Loved the class, loved Deidre, and LOVE using staples with wool applique. I've shared that tidbit with my wool-loving friends!
