Tradition!

What can I say....I'm a traditional kind of girl.  To me there is nothing quite like a good log cabin quilt.  My friend Leslie Ison and I each made a Log cabin quilt a few years ago when we were in business together as 'Remember When.'  I especially love the big red centers on this one......also, it makes the quilt grow faster when making it.  We named it Lincoln's Log Cabin.  My son in law, Chad helped me hang the shelf hanger in my upstairs hall before he left for Ohio. After we had the quilt on the rack, we stood back and decided it looked very fine in deed!
Today I found extended time to work in my sewing room and I am near the completion of two projects.  I have a new quilt completed and have the directions written and will post a picture of it in a few days.
My friend Trudy sent me this about friendship and I thought I would share it with you...."Part of the joy of friendship is the feeling that we are accepted just the way we are, with no need to change.  It is a gift they give us, and one we can give back every day.  Ultimately, we choose friends because they make us feel good about ourselves and life.  Through tears and difficulties, friends help us find the laughter.  When we find those special people who offer us that perfect combination of comfort and stimulus to grow, we are very fortunate.  Friends, those wonderful companions that walk with us through life, help us define and refine who we are and who we choose to be every day.  - from the dailyom.com

  2. First of all, I received the little patriotic quilt you made. Thank you so very much! I had made several patriotic items this past summer to display on a shelf. The perfect match! I brought it to my 'Quilt Group' yesterday and they all oohed and aahed. Thanks again!

I too love Log Cabin Quilts. I have made so many and just recently purchased the Creative Grids 'Trim Tool' which is awesome! My log cabin blocks all sew up perfectly and no later trimming to fit is needed. This tool helps to make an accurate block every time.
