Respect Labor

Good Morning!  :-)

Respect Labor is one of my designs which I have retained, which has just been re branded with my new company name and will be available on my web site soon.  My daughter Katrina who will soon be getting married is a bee keeper.  Once she started keeping bees and got a hive in her back yard, I developed an increasing interest in bees.  She and her husband to be, have filled little jars with honey for each of their wedding guests. They've designed a cute label for the bottles.
Approximately one third of all the food Americans eat is directly or indirectly derived from honey bee pollination.  On average, a worker bee in the summer lasts 6-8 weeks.  Their most common cause of death is wearing their wings out.  During that 6-8 week life span, they fly the equivalent of 1 1/2 times the circumference of the earth.  The busy bee definitely deserves our respect.  We have never had an issue with getting stung....they are just busy doing what they do and are not out looking for trouble.  One of Katrina's dogs got stung on the nose when he became too inquisitive.  He has since lost interest!
"Bees do have a smell you know, and if they don't they should, for their feet are dusted with spices from a million flowers."

  2. Very nice design. I learned a few facts about bees that I didn't know; interesting, thank you.
