More Fabulous Fabrics

Just want to share a glimpse of more fabulous fabrics........this time solids and stripes.I have visions of spending hours in my sewing room starting next week.  Once again these are Diamond Textiles.  I really do love their look.

I love watching the show on TLC called Who Do You Think You Are?  It is about people tracing their genealogy to find out about their family history. We all have a desire to know where we came from and to understand our roots.  It occurred to me while watching that our quilts can play a huge part in giving our history and telling future generations about who we are..........that is if we label our quilts!  And on the label, besides the facts we can leave a quote or a thought that will inspire and give a window into our soul and to who we really are.

"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it.  You either have to laugh or cry.  I prefer to laugh.  Crying gives me a headache".
  - Marjorie Hinckley   This gives me a little insight into who Marjorie Hinkley was, because she left these word.

May you find something to laugh about today........there is nothing better than a good hard laugh with a friend!

  3. I try to never fold up a new quilt and put it away until it has a label. I won the very first MN shop hop quilt put together by Grubers in a charity auction and was very surprised that it didn't have a label. Luckily, Sue was able to provide me with information on who pieced all those participating shop blocks and the machine quilting, so now it is labeled for posterity!
