Tending the Fire

This is the only picture I've managed to pull up....my computer has the nerve to tell me there is an error in Picasa and refuses to cooperate. This is Trudy tending our fire, which we kept crackling and popping the entire time.  Yes, that's right......we arrived to snow, and it snowed almost constantly while we were there.  I have pictures of snow on the beautiful pine trees which surround the cabin, and pictures of 2 mule deers looking at us through the window.  Absolutely perfect in every way.......good friends together, lots of pajama time, good conversation, many laughs, good food, and time with needle and thread.  Occasionally we would step out side just to get a whiff of the crisp mountain air that was richly scented by the pine trees.  Hopefully I'll be able to gradually share more pictures......In the interim I hope I've been successful with giving you a descriptive word picture.
I managed to bind and finish two projects which will go to my graphic designer to day, and am close to finishing my winter quilt......I'm thinking about the name I will use.  Perhaps Silent Night.  We'll see.

    1. I wish you had too....as there was plenty of beds, many unused. And PLENTY of food!

  2. Your word pictures are always way above adequate! I can smell the pines in the crisp damp air and hear the flakes flutter down. Glad you had some time away with friends.
