Ask and Receive

Good Morning....and Happy Week End!  I've been wanting to share this charming, wonderful and a lot of other good stuff, little quilt with you.  The design is by www.kerrystitchdesigns.com  I have plans to hang it over my bed.  The first square says, "Ask and it shall be given you,"  and we have the little bird in the tree asking.  In the second, "All things are possible to him that believes".  Now the little bird has a partner who has joined her.......and in the last square, "Ask and ye shall receive that your joy may be full".....and there are three little ones in the nest.  This quilted wall hanging is so appropriate for Bruce and I because we were married for seven years before we had our first wee one......and we ended up with three, so of course I fit 3 birds in the nest.

I have been so busy printing patterns and taking care of business since arriving home that I have had no time to sew, and only a few minutes each day to read........I'm way out of balance.  I'm hoping to find some me time over the week-end.  Take care and keep warm!

"Someone once told me to always live for the little things in life.  Live for sunrises and sunsets where you'll see colours in the sky that don't usually belong.  Live for road trips and bike rides with music in your ears and the wind in your hair.  Live for days when you are surrounded by your favorite people who make you realise that the world is not a cold, harsh place.  Live for the little things because they will help you to realise that this is what life is all about.  This is what it means to be alive".    -unknown

    1. Tina, First of all I have no children at home and no grand babies yet, and it is just my husband and I and he is a great help to me around the house. About my fabrics......I have collected home spun plaids over the years and always have my eve out for more....also I love the civil war prints, and love using them together.

  2. What an adorable quilt and a perfect message on it as well. I love how you personalized it by adding the 3 little ones - cute idea. I understand that lack of balance things - 2014 will be much different for me and I'm looking forward to both the challenge of making balance happen as well as the journey to making it happen. Happy New Year to you and yours - I love your posts and your inspirational quote at the end of each one. So many of them are speak to me on that day as something I'm needing to ponder. Hugs - karen
