Gathering Hearts

First of all I am so sorry for not writing yesterday, but blog spot had a hiccup, and was not working......maybe the reason it was down is a good thing and they are fixing some of the small problems that seem to occur from time to time.

I've been gathering hearts and here are a few of them in a wood bowl on my table.  I found that by lightly stuffing them with a small portion of fiber fill at a time, the design is more completely seen.  Over stuffing does not look as nicely.  Hearts have been on the front burner and tomorrow I will be sharing another bowl of heart.  The patterns are being finished by my friend and graphic designer, Alisa Quist.

I received the most heart warming and lovely emails yesterday from a lady who reads my blog.  I can tell she is a kindred spirit.  She signed off her email by saying "Keep a happy heart".  That hovered in my mind all day as I worked on heart!

I enjoyed a long conversation with my brother yesterday who lives in Minnesota.  He was snug in his house with a fire crackling as it was -50 degrees wind chill.  Then my son called to say in Ohio they had a -36 wind chill......brrrrr!  It has been cold here in Utah, but it was 26 degrees yesterday.....cold, but very manageable.....and I've been happy to be home.

    1. Thank you...I'm looking forward having them on my table....The brown ones would be awesome in a red bowl or basket.
