Bryce Canyon

I was so excited to start telling you all about my week away, and then BlogSpot was down this morning.  I decided to take a break from my day and try again....and had better luck.  So, I'm back!  The scenery where the quilt retreat was held, is exceptionally beautiful country.....and I want to share it with you.  On the way to the lodge, we passed through 2 tunnels carved from the red rock.

The red rock formations along the route are breath taking, especially the contrast with the white snow.

One morning, my friend Leslie and I had some free time so we entered the park, so excited to use our passes for the national parks...that is our senior passes!  :-)  Decided to embrace this privilege!

Sunset point is an area where you can hike down into the canyon or simply take in the spectacular view.  I've hiked down here with my husband one spring a few years back and it was a marvelous experience.

Amazing, isn't it?

A different angle......

And one more.......

I wanted to share it all with you......nature in all it's wonder and beauty.  The week away was just what this quilter needed.  I came home feeling restored and ready to go!  Wait until you see some of the quilt pictures I have.....more tomorrow.

  1. My hubby served on the ship Bryce Canyon for over four years. I think it's time we saw the park!
