Its good to be home.....

.....I love to go places, but it is so sweet to come back home!  Market was everything I had hoped it would be, plus just a little bit more.  Over all everything went well, except for the decision that was made to stay outside of the city.  That has been preferable in the past, but this time it was a mistake.  Pittsburgh is arranged around 3 rivers plus it is very hilly with narrow little one way streets that are of different angles......little miss no it all , navigation devise often became confused and told us to make u-turns and all kinds of other interesting maneuvers.  Some of the streets were so narrow, that all of the cars parked pulled in their mirrors in hopes they would still be their when they returned to their cars.  I feared for our mini van, and for the story I might have to concoct to the rental folks back at the airport.

Now for part 2 of our adventure...we were delayed in the Denver airport for hours, because of tornadoes and 6 inches of hail!  They had people go into parts of the airport that were suppose to keep them safe in the event the airport was in the path of the coming funnel cloud!  The conclusion of this story is that we made it home in the very wee hours of the morning after being up for nearly 24 hours.

Now, for the good part!  :-)))) We were able to spend nearly 3 days with our two children who live in Ohio.  That was a special time, plus Kerry and I were able to spend a day in Amish country.

The climbing rose started to bloom the week we were gone.  I look forward to this event every year.

Here are few peaks at my booth.

This represents a lot of hard work!  Thank goodness for my dear, sweet, and hard working sister in law who was with us.  She did much of the reaching and challenging maneuvers There are not enough adjectives to describe her goodness.....  And to Kerry who always shines as my savvy go to girl.

Have an enjoyable week end and I will have more goodies to share with you on Monday.

  1. I am drooling over your quilt booth - just so gorgeous! It sounds like it was a scary adventure getting back home. I don't like flying at the best of times, and adding tornados and hail to the mix would give me more grey hair ;o) Welcome Back!
