Summer Mornings....

....are really just the best.  The air is still a bit cool, everything seems fresh and new, the birds are singing their little hearts out, and after coming back from a walk the day seems to be full of possibilities.

When our little quilt group met last week, it was at Leslie's warm and lovely home.  This is the Postage Stamp basket quilt which she made a few years back and is one of my favorites.

A wonderful little quilt to display on her table.......It has herbs embroidered on the alternate block and name of herbs embroidered on the border.

This Court House Steps hanging on her wall, had long been a favorite of mine.

Leslie has made this quilt for her grandson Isaiah who has just graduated from high school.  She is hand quilting it and is half way there.  The solid colors are very stunning.

And....Leslie's hand quilted Irish Chain.  When we gather we are always inspired, not just with our quilts but with the friendship we share.  This coming Friday we will be leaving on a vacation together.  We will be flying into the city of brotherly love, and will scout around the city and on through Amish country and then over to Gettysburg.  We will be gone for 8 days and I will not be blogging from the road......and, I will not be home for the second Wed. drawing, so the winner will be announced on Friday.
