I'm making progress

I believe I will call this one Harvest Time.  I have the top row completed.  I hope to find more time today to take a few more stitches.  I'm now contemplating the border and what it might look like.

Here we are smack in the middle of summer, and I'm thinking about Fall.....I endeavor to live in the moment, but one day I woke up thinking I needed to work on something for Fall.  So I carefully put away what I was working on, cleaned up the mess from that and began creating another mess.......and so it is in my sewing room.

A close up of the sashing detail.  I have been preparing some hand sewing to take with me for the car trip to Ohio.  We hope to be leaving on Friday.....and the miles fly by when you have some hand work to do.

I do love hearing from you......your kind words keep me inspired, and assist in keeping my heart happy!  :-))  Have a happy heart week.

"May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being,
May you walk gently through the world and know its
beauty all the days of your life."

  3. Baskets and oak leaves on a quilt are one of my favourite combinations, I will be ordering this pattern when you have it finished. Your quilt is just beautiful.
We have about 35 Garry Oak trees in our backyard which we just love having there.

  4. I really like the acorns and oak leaves in your sashing and the words you are choosing. In your field you do have to work ahead of the season or else be designing for the next year! You have a happy heart filled week as well.

  6. What a lovely design Norma, I love working with Autumn colours and your choice of a neutral palate is lovely. It would also be fun to see it on some soft yellow and purple colours or some other fall palate.

Thanks for the sneak peek, enjoy your trip.
