Out of my routine......

and enjoying a leisurely breakfast with friends.  What a special thing it is to reconnect with friends, and bring to mind times spent together......one of life's most precious gifts.  Now, I must get busy and make every minute count, because I'm down to 2 days before we leave for Ohio.

Summer Days......is the name of this quilt design which can be found on my web site.  Leslie and I each made one and here is hers on her guest bed.....more like the bed for the grand kids for sleep overs ay Grandma's house.   It has such a wonderful vintage feel.

These were the types of quilts which I saw as a child which first inspired me to want to make quilts.

Here is another charmer which Leslie made.  I couldn't leave her home the other day with out getting pictures to share with you.

Her daughter Callie who is so like her mother, made this adorable spool topper for her as a gift.......it is even hand quilted.  What a lovely gift.

    1. Nelda....I don't have the name of it but Leslie could give you that info. Give her a call, she'd love to hear from you. Tell her it is the quilt at the end of the bed in her guest room. I'm always happy to see you! Hugs

  3. I love the the mini spools on the dresser! I too love the old fashioned patterns the best. They speak to heart and prod my imagination to wonder about the women who made them.

  6. Do you have the dimensions for this quilt? What is the finished size? I would like to make it as a Quilt for a veteran, which our local quilt group of friends make for our local veterans. Any help you can give would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. bpotts51@hotmail.com
