A good laugh.......

.....and getting older!  I turned 63 years old yesterday, and I'm trying to figure out how that happened so quickly.  I'm grateful for every year.  Decided I needed to share some of my cards with you......

We've still got it, it's just not in the same place anymore.

Enough about this one!  Hysterical....

Think of it as just a little extra mileage on you birthday suit.  I think this is all about learning to cope with a body that is changing.......it's like the lady who looked in the mirror and wondered who that old lady was looking back at her.

My two daughter treated us to dinner at a fabulous Mexican restaurant.  Katrina, in the cute hat and Abbie and Chad, and my famous quilt holder and helpful side kick.  We were sad to be missing Katrina's husband Jess, but he's in Glacier National Park doing a photo shoot for some athletic company, and of course Ben and Erin who are off in Ohio.  More treasured memories.  And last eve. Grandpa Whaley treated us to dinner....I have not been cooking and that is a very good thing!  My lunches lately have consisted of vine ripened tomatoes with cottage cheese and then a fresh peach for desert!  No time spent in the kitchen means more time in my sewing room.

"Let me grow lovely, growing old....
So many fine things do:
Laces, and ivory, and gold,
And silks need not be new;
And there is healing in old trees,
Old streets a glamour hold;
Why may not I, as well as these,
Grow lovely, growing old?

More quilts tomorrow and a surprise to give a way!  :-)

  5. Such happy memories being made! I'll be 64 in Sept and I think I've grown gentler and wiser as I've aged. Congratulations on a year filled with blessings and a simpler way of life.
