Another week flies past.....

First of all thank you to the many who entered for the fabric.  Today it will be the blue Penny Rose fabrics......and the winner will be the 12th person to respond.....norma@timelesstraditionsquilts.com
Yesterdays winner was Karen Martin.

Beautiful variety of blue fat 1/8ths.

The Springville Art Museum quilt show continues.

This quilt is called Oh My Gosh......the little 9 patch sashing end up with 1/2 inch squares.
A real challenge for the 1/4 inch seam allowance!

The border on this quilt is not a printed fabric.....it is all applique.  Stunning!

A question I'm often asked is....why do you make all of those blankets....at this point I take a deep breath and try to remain composed and cordial.  They just don't get it.  We cannot not create and continue making quilts.  We quilt our hopes, and fears and dreams into our quilt's.  They keep us through many of life's difficulties.  All of the above quilters are no different.  I am grateful for the opportunity to have been inspired by their work.

  2. The quilts are so beautiful! I wish I could see them in person. I had to smile when I read the question people often ask - 'why do you make all of those blankets'. I've had that asked of me too, and I have to agree that they don't get it ;o)

  5. Love the quilt show quilts, thanks for sharing. Also love the blue fabrics, they would look lovely in one of those quilts from the show. I've never been asked about "blankets", most people know I make quilts and would love to have one.
