Introducing Penny Rose

The days are getting shorter....and it's starting to be more noticeable.  This summer has been flying by.....and so have I.  I've had more on my plate than what is preferable.  I haven't taken time to smell the roses.  This morning I have decided to take a deep breathe and not start my day out with a bang!

Yesterday Penny Rose fabrics by Riley Blake arrived at my house.  They are introducing this Civil War line of fabrics.

They are lovely fabrics and some interesting designs.....I'm especially drawn to this bundle.  Love the little prairie flower and the shade of yellow.

The bottom red piece with the black flowers and cream leaf clusters......really love this fabric.

And a variety of shirting's to coordinate.  I look forward to using these fabrics, however, I do not enjoy designing and creating with just one fabric line.  I always need some plaids, stripes and checks to add to the mix.......plus a couple of surprises to spice things up a bit.

Remember tomorrow is the day for the drawing for a free pattern.......the winners are announced on my blog.  You still have time to enter.

"I want to remember that no one is going to make my dreams come true for me.  It is my job to get up every morning day and work towards the things that are deepest in my heart.....and to enjoy every step of the journey rather than wishing I was already where I want to end up".

  2. I'm with you on that yellow Prairie Flower! Very cute! I also love the lighter shades of blue! So rarely seen! Quite an unexpected line from Riley Blake at a time when I'm thinking about pulling together CW prints! Good timing!

  6. I didn't know that Riley Blake had come out with a Civil War line of fabric. They are very nice! Enjoy your blog, especially your daily quote at the bottom. Sometimes I read them first. Keep up the great designing.
